Staying connected to local community is a common principle for both Mackie Cricket Club and new sponsor Urbanfarm. We had the opportunity to visit with UrbanFarm recently and have a chat to co-founder “G” about the business and why they are supporting Mackie Cricket this season.
MCC : G, thanks for welcoming us to UrbanFarm HQ, tell us a bit about UrbanFarm.
G: UrbanFarm is a new concept in meal kits. On demand Free Range ingredients for cooking delicious meals on the same afternoon/evening you (and the family) fancy them…and all from local quality suppliers, without plastic! Recipes only take 20-25 minutes to cook.
MCC : What feedback are you getting from your customers on how they are using the UrbanFarm service?
G: Customers are using us in so many different ways;
– Traditional high quality weekly or fortnightly meal kit.
– Instead of rushing to the supermarket.
– Last minute instead of a takeaway.
– For inspiration on planning meals.
– The same ‘go to’ meal once a month.

MCC : So tell us why you are supporting Mackie Cricket this season?
G: UrbanFarm is all about being local. Our business is down the road in Moorabbin and we live local in Bentleigh East. Connecting with our community is a really important part of what we do and Mackie is a great local club.
