About Club

Mackie Cricket Club was established in 1954. We have senior teams, junior teams as well as the MILO In2Cricket and T20Blast programs.

We are affiliated with the South East Cricket Association (previously known as City of Moorabbin Cricket Association) and South Churches and Districts Cricket League (SDCCL).

Our home ground is the Mackie Road Reserve in Bentleigh East.

Officials

The officials on the field are each tasked with a different set of responsibilities:

The two umpires, who has the responsibilities including: adjudication on whether a ball has been correctly bowled; when a run is scored; whether a batsman is out; when intervals start and end; and the suitability of the pitch, field and weather for playing the game. The umpires are authorized to interrupt or even abandon a match due to circumstances likely to endanger the players.
The two official scorers, one representing each team, who records the match details, including runs and dismissals.
