Mackie legend Craig Park has accepted the position as chairman of selectors for season 2022-23. Mackie cricket club is pleased to confirm this further appointment to the off field setup for the upcoming season. Club President John Tantram commented “It is great to have Craig fill this important role as part of the extended leadership group. This announcement in addition to that of our 1st XI Captain last week, gives us great momentum as we head toward round 1″
Very few people have played or watched as much SECA cricket around Mackie as Craig has. He is uniquely placed to bring his wealth of cricketing experience forward in this role. Balancing the outcomes required across results and player development is a challenge in this role and one that we are confident Craig will deliver. Let’s hope that the challenges of COVID are not as onerous this season as last season! We would also like to thank and acknowledge Steve Neophytou for his dedication to this role during his time of performing it.
